Pastos de alta monta�a.
Rasgos caracter�sticos:
Es uno de los carneros m�s grandes de toda su especie. Su pelaje es de color leonado, m�s oscuro en los costados, y blanco amarillento en la parte inferior, con un anillo anal grande y blanco rodeando a la cola que es de color oscuro. Tanto los machos como las hembras tienen cuernos, siendo los de la hembra de menor tama�o; los del macho son robustos, y forman una espiral a ambos lados de la cabeza.
Costumbres:
Viven en grandes reba�os en los que la superioridad de un macho respecto a otro por dominar el reba�o se dilucida en tremendos duelos, dichos duelos se realizan entre machos con su cuerna desarrollada en su totalidad considerando a los j�venes y hembras inferiores. Su enemigos naturales son los lobos, pumas y coyotes. Tienen una o dos cr�as despu�s de unos 180 d�as de gestaci�n.
